All 25 AFFMA’s volunteers offer our warmest congratulations to our CEO, Joël Gédéon, on his admission as a lawyer to the Supreme Court on 06 December 2016. Joël is now one step closer to his goal of advocating on behalf of refugees from within the legal profession.
Joël started his Juris Doctor at the beginning of 2015, and through his dedication and commitment, completed his degree and Practical Legal Training in no more than 20 months. This constitutes an amazing achievement.
Under his leadership and commitment to AFFMA, we won the prestigious 2016 Regional Volunteer Team of the Year award on 31 August 2016.
